Quilt Adventures: A Lesson in Fabric Choices and Accepting When It’s Time to Let Go

I found these quilt pieces at an estate sale……they were nicely made….but I found the fabric and color choices kind of …..debatable.

Very 80’s…..soft pastels and a zinger black floral…all that to be coupled with a cheetah print. I pondered all this…..found it horrific…..but, purchased them anyway.

Today I thought I would play some ‘chop it up and sew it back together” fun. I felt it might aid the lack of love for the fabric color.

Let me say…..chopping it up and sewing it back together did not make me love the fabric choices any better. It seemed like a lot of work into something I found terrible.

Threw in the towel……trash can was the recipient of said efforts. Hated it.

Sometimes your time is more valuable……it’s okay.
